Dear All,
In line with Public Health recommendations and new Level 3 restrictions, we are putting additional measures in place so as to keep everyone safe; if anyone is unhappy with these changes, please do get in touch and we will be happy to discuss other options with you.
These are the new arrangements in place from this week:
There will be a section of the floor assigned to each skater or family, and coaches will supervise skaters from the side, so as to avoid any contact with and between skaters. This means that we have to further limit the number of skaters on the premises at any time: please bear with us while we try to accomodate everyone with a new timetable.
One-way system in place: skaters and accompanying parents to come in through reception (one family at a time) and put on skates in allocated seating on skating floor; parents then leave through fire exit corridor without contact with other skaters/parents;
Accompanying parents and coaches are required to wear masks at all times; no physical contact and maintain at least 1-metre distance. Use of masks for skaters is optional;
If your child needs help putting on/taking off skates, please ensure that you help them lace skates up correctly at the start of their class, as coaches will be unable to assist with tying loose laces, etc.;
Dressing rooms are to be used only by skaters with their own skates;
There will be no seating in the reception area: this is for transit only at the start of each class;
Wristguards will no longer be provided; if skaters forget their own, they can skate without guards (at their own risk);
No eating on the premises: water only to be left next to allocated seats;
At the end of each class please take off skates on your allocated seat, leave skates in place, then exit via fire exit corridor one family at a time;
Athletics will move to either outdoor space or via Zoom;
Please note that previous Covid measures still remain in place, these are additional ones.
