Refund of Fees

Dear All,

As the country is still struggling with the pandemic and restrictions continue, it is now clear that we will not be able to resume classes by the end of January.

We hope that we will be in a position to do so some time soon, but we cannot be certain of when this can happen. For this reason we are now going to refund fees paid for the current term to all our skaters.

Fees that were paid via PayPal will be refunded the same way. If you paid by cash, cheque or bank transfer, please send us your bank details or your address so that we can send you a cheque.

This will take some time, please bear with us while we process all the payments.

Best wishes to everyone,

The CFSA Team

Restrictions continuing

Dear All,

As you are aware, the country has now moved to level 3 Covid restrictions. Unfortunately, indoor classes are still not permitted, so we will have to wait until we move to level 2 or lower before we can reopen.

We miss you all, and we can’t wait to see you back training, but for now we have to prioritise everyone’s safety.

Do try to keep fit and well during this time, and hopefully the new year will bring better times and fresh new energy, and you can start back where you left off.

Best wishes everyone,

Sabrina & all the Coaching Team

Zoom Classes

Hi Everyone,

While we wait for things to get better and hope that everyone stays safe and well, we can now offer some skating classes via zoom. If you have your own skates and have access to a suitable area (indoor or outdoor, weather permitting), you can avail of these.

Fees for one hour class are €20 for individual skaters and €25 for families (two or more skaters). These can be deducted from your credit (fees already paid for this month or term) or paid for separately.

If you are interested, please let me know by email or text (086 8077616), and one of our coaches will contact you to arrange a suitable day and time for your class.

Best wishes

Discontinuation of classes

Dear All,

I regret to inform you that, in line with government directives, we will have to discontinue all our skating classes for as long as level 3 (or higher) restrictions remain in place.

In spite of all our efforts to keep everyone safe by putting all infection prevention measures in place, restructuring training, and the large size of our premises, we are still bound by the guidelines in place for indoor sports, and we are therefore obliged to discontinue our activities at this time.

Some classes will be held via zoom wherever possible. Competitive skaters will also have the option of one-to-one training for a very limited number of hours per week. Liane will send on more details in due course.

We hope to see you all again soon.

New Covid measures in place

Dear All,
In line with Public Health recommendations and new Level 3 restrictions, we are putting additional measures in place so as to keep everyone safe; if anyone is unhappy with these changes, please do get in touch and we will be happy to discuss other options with you.
These are the new arrangements in place from this week:
There will be a section of the floor assigned to each skater or family, and coaches will supervise skaters from the side, so as to avoid any contact with and between skaters. This means that we have to further limit the number of skaters on the premises at any time: please bear with us while we try to accomodate everyone with a new timetable.
One-way system in place: skaters and accompanying parents to come in through reception (one family at a time) and put on skates in allocated seating on skating floor; parents then leave through fire exit corridor without contact with other skaters/parents;
Accompanying parents and coaches are required to wear masks at all times; no physical contact and maintain at least 1-metre distance. Use of masks for skaters is optional;
If your child needs help putting on/taking off skates, please ensure that you help them lace skates up correctly at the start of their class, as coaches will be unable to assist with tying loose laces, etc.;
Dressing rooms are to be used only by skaters with their own skates;
There will be no seating in the reception area: this is for transit only at the start of each class;
Wristguards will no longer be provided; if skaters forget their own, they can skate without guards (at their own risk);
No eating on the premises: water only to be left next to allocated seats;
At the end of each class please take off skates on your allocated seat, leave skates in place, then exit via fire exit corridor one family at a time;
Athletics will move to either outdoor space or via Zoom;
Please note that previous Covid measures still remain in place, these are additional ones.
We are very grateful for your cooperation at this time.

Covid-19 Guidelines

COVID -19 GUIDELINES

To all skaters and parents/guardians:

Our priority is to take all steps possible to minimise the risk of Covid-19 transmission.

In order to do this, please read this carefully:

Do not attend class if you feel unwell, if you have a temperature, a cough or shortness of breath;

Do not attend if you have been told to self-isolate or quarantine, and if you have returned from  abroad less than two weeks ago;

Please ensure that you can be contacted while your child is skating; if you are not available please leave an alternative contact number with the coach;

Only enter the hall at the correct starting time for your class and leave promptly when finished;

Only one parent/guardian to accompany children when absolutely necessary (i.e. to help lace up skates), then leave promptly and return at the end of the class;

Use hand sanitizer at the door (you can bring your own if you prefer);

Practise good respiratory etiquette; the use of face masks is optional;

Stay 2 metres away  from other skaters and coaches at all times (you can stay close to members of your family if you are in the same class);

Leave all your belongings in one place, including your water bottle;

Do not share any equipment other than club skates (which are sanitised after each use);

When leaving, ensure that your bring all your belongings home, including your water bottle; you can leave your skates and mat at the hall, for your own private use only;

Clean your chair with antiseptic at the end of your class.
