CFSA reopening

Dear All,

From Monday 8th June, in line with the Government’s roadmap, the Club will reopen for activities.

In order  to keep us all safe by ensuring physical distancing, some changes will have to be made in the scheduling and organisation of classes:

  • Class size will be reduced;
  • Class starting time will be staggered;
  • No athletics or ballet on site for the time being (classes will take place on Zoom);
  • No change of days or times allowed: if you miss a class we will no longer be able to facilitate you by making it up on a different day due to smaller number of skaters allowed in each class.

The class timetable will be revised in the coming days to reflect these changes.

The following recommendations will be implemented:

1)            Only skaters (one parent/ family member allowed with younger children) to enter the premises; no parents to wait inside (please wait in the proximity of the hall and have your phone on during your child’s class);

2)            Hand hygiene: all skaters (and accompanying parent) entering the premises to use hand sanitizer on arrival and when leaving;

3)            No skater who is unwell should attend for classes: this includes high temperature, cough, sore throat, runny nose, headache, nausea/ diarrhoea;

4)            Strict respiratory etiquette: cough or sneeze in tissue and dispose of it immediately, then sanitize your hands, or cough/sneeze into your elbow; the use of masks may be considered in line with public health recommendations;

5)            Ensure physical distancing by keeping 2m between you and everyone else; follow signage on the floor; do not have any physical contact with other skaters or coaches;

6)            Only use hard chairs to put your skates on and take them off; you should wipe your chair before and after use;

7)            Please wipe club skates before use;

8)            Long hair should be tied up to discourage touching your face;

9) Bathrooms to be used only if absolutely necessary,  as they will not be cleaned between classes.

10) Water bottles are not to be left on the table but next to your chair. Please ensure that you bring them home after class;

11) Doors and windows will remain open to improve ventilation and to avoid touching handles and surfaces.

We are aware that some of these measures may pose some inconvenience, but we have to prioritise everyone’s safety. They may be revised in line with public health recommendations going forward.

We are looking forward to seeing you all back soon.
