We are moving!

Dear All,

As you know our club has been growing steadily over the last few years, all the classes have become busier, so we have finally made the decision that we need our own dedicated facility in order to continue to offer good quality classes at all levels.

We have secured a lease on a suitable building at the Marina, which is near the city and therefore more accessible to everyone, also by public transport, on foot or by bicycle!

The new rink will be ready by early July, and we will be moving there during the second week of July.

We believe that this move will allow all our skaters to progress as there will be more classes available as well as more space for practice at each class. The new floor is top-quality, especially designed for inline skating, and the rink will be maintained to the highest standard.

We hope that these advantages will make up for the inevitable inconvenience associated with the move for skaters and parents.

A new timetable for the summer will come into place as soon as we have moved. This will be reviewed in September.

Practice dresses

Dear All,

Please note that the time is running out for anyone who wishes to order a practice dress in time for Dijon!

There is no obligation to purchase the dress, however, all skaters taking part in the competition are expected to wear their club uniform during training before the competition (club t-shirt, jacket, pants/leggings with club colours or the new club skating dress kindly made by Mary).

Dear All,

Our Summer Show last Sunday was a great success! We hope you all enjoyed the day 🙂

A big thank you to all of you for your support on this occasion and throughout the year, it is thanks to you that we have such a great atmosphere in the club.

Training continues for this term until the end of June and the summer term will then start on 1st July.

The very best of luck to Jamie and Mick who are running in the Cork City Marathon tomorrow!

Summer Show

Dear All,

All skaters taking part in the show on Sunday please be there at 9.30. We should be fininshed by 11.30-11.45.

All skaters to be back by 4.00. The show will start at 5.00pm.

We hope that you enjoy the day!

P.S.: no regular training on the day of the show. Any skater who normally trains on Sundays and who is not taking part in the show please feel free to come during the week for your class instead.

Summer Show this Sunday

Dear All,

This Sunday is going to be a busy day for skaters and parents: all skaters who are performing in the show will be at the hall in the morning at 9.30 (no costumes, practice outfits only) until 12-12.30.

Skaters are then to be back at 4.00 with costumes, hair done and make up on (if used).

The show will start at 5.00.

There will be tea and coffee available during the show. We would be very grateful if some of you could bring some refreshments on the day. All money raised will be used to purchase new equipment for the club.

We take the opportunity to thank all volunteers in advance for their time and commitment.

A very big thank you also to Jaime Kelleher-Turner and to Mick McKeon who are running the Cork City Marathon on behalf of CFSA. Anyone willing to contribute to sponsoring them will have the opportunity to do so on Sunday and also during our weekly training.

Looking forward to seeing you all there!

No ballet tomorrow

Dear All,

There will be no ballet tomorrow 21st May.

There will also be no ballet or regular training next Sunday 28th, day of the Summer Show.

All skaters performing in the show have to be at the hall on the morning of Sunday 28th for a final rehearsal.

If you can put up  posters of the show anywhere around you (your local shop, library, school, post office…) please pick some up in the morning. The bigger the audience, the better!
