Dear All,

Hi Everyone,
Registrations are now closed for this Saturday’s test. The hall will open at 9.30, warm-up from 10.00.
Level 1 test starts at 11.00, higher levels to follow.
Please wear either a skating dress/skirt and top, black leggings with a top/jacket, or club uniform. No hoodies, loose jumpers or baggy pants. Long hair tied up.
Please note that criteria for passing any particular level are quite strict, so if you don’t pass a level it only means that you need more work, not that you are a bad skater. If you keep practising, you will be more than likely to pass it the next time!
Any questions, don’t hesitate to ask.
See you on Saturday!
*** No regular training on Saturday. If you are not doing the test you can make up for your missed class on a day of your choice, just inform your coach beforehand.
Sabrina
Dear All,
A reminder that the closing date for registration for the ARSI skating test is this Saturday 16th February.
In order to register, please bring your test fees (€5 per level) in a labelled envelope on or before Saturday, indicating which level(s) you are going to attempt.
We will regrettably be unable to include any skater who has not registered by that date.
Test requirements will be posted on our noticeboard.
Dear All,
Just a reminder that the CFSA AGM will take place next Tuesday 12th February at 8.00 pm at the hall.
All members are welcome.
Dear All,
The second term started on 1st February and fees are now due.
If you wish to increase / reduce your training time or to change classes please let us know and we will do our very best to accomodate you.
Please note that fees are payable in full, don’t ask for discounts for missed classes or extended holidays as we are regrettably not in a position to cater for part-time skaters or pay-as-you-go.
Any questions, don’t hesitate to ask.
Sabrina
Dear All,
Just a quick list of our main events scheduled for the next few months:
More details on each event will follow.
Dear All,
In order to follow guidelines for best practice in sport, all competitive skaters will now be required to undergo cardiac screening.
Some of you may have had this through your school: in this case, please bring in a copy of your report.
We have organised for ER Training to offer cardial screening to all skaters who require it. This will be carried out outside the hall, in their ambulance, by a GP and a paramedic. The cost is €50.
Possible dates are: 26, 27th January, 2nd February (only one or two of these dates may be available).
For non-competitive skaters the screening is optional.
Please let me know ASAP if you would like to avail of this: email me (sabrinavassia@yahoo.com) or text me (086-8077616) and I will get back to you with a time slot.
Please note that one parent should be present with skaters under 18.
Hi Everyone,
We will be ordering boots by the end of the month, so please let me know if you need a new pair.
Frames will be ordered separately at a later date.
Sabrina
Dear All,
All skaters who are taking part in international (WIFSA) competitions this year, please bring in €10 for your WIFSA membership in a labelled envelope with your name and date of birth at your earliest convenience.
The membership is valid for one calendar year (1st January to 31st December).
Many thanks,
Sabrina
Dear All,
Just a reminder that training recommences as normal tomorrow Thursday 27th December. Ballet, however, will not be on this week and is back to normal from Thursday 3rd January.
All skaters who attend ballet can have a free practice in lieu of this week’s class (to be used during this or next week).
Happy Holidays!
