PS: we would welcome any further suggestions for fundraising initiatives and/or sponsoring by all members 🙂

Well done!

A fantastic performance by all our skaters today, well done Everyone!!

A huge big thank you to all the coaches for preparing choreographies, running extra practices, for all the encouragement and, especially, for the example of hard work (and excellent work) that they offer to their junior skaters.

A special thanks to all the parents who baked, cooked, served hot drinks, lifted furniture, played music, presented, cleaned up… you really are amazing!

We wish you a very Happy Christmas and a fantastic 2020. We look forward to seeing you back… next week!

(Classes will run during the holidays excluding 24th, 25th and 26th December :-))

Christmas Show on Saturday

Hi Everyone!

We are really looking forward to our Christmas show this Saturday at 4.00pm in Little Island Sports Complex.

All skaters performing should be there before 2.00 pm for a final rehearsal (no need to wear your costumes). All spectators should come in later, after 3.15 please.

Please ensure that your skates are in order (check with Kelle if using club skates).

All skaters and coaches have been working really hard to prepare for the show. We hope that you enjoy every minute of it!

See you all there,

Sabrina

Skating Test on Saturday

Hi Everyone,
Just some clarifications about this Saturday’s test:
You can come to the hall from 2.00pm (unless you are already there for your normal class);

Level 1 test starts at 2.30 sharp, higher levels to follow. Full timetable is on display at the hall.

Please wear either a skating dress/skirt and top, black leggings with a top/jacket, or club uniform. No hoodies, loose jumpers or baggy pants. Long hair tied up.
Certificates will be handed out at the end of the test, at about 4.15.

Please note that criteria for passing any particular level are quite strict, so if you don’t pass a level it only means that you need more work, not that you are a bad skater. If you keep practising, you will be more than likely to pass it the next time!

Any questions, don’t hesitate to ask.

See you on Saturday!

Sabrina

New Timetable for September

Dear All,

Here’s the new timetable for this term. Please note the few changes from last year:

  • Wednesday’s recreational classes have been changed to Tuesdays;
  • Intermediate classes will take place on Tuesdays 6-8, Wednesdays 6-8, Thursdays 4-6 followed by ballet, and Saturdays 9-30-12.30 including athletics;
  • Advanced classes will be on Wednesdays 4-6, Thursdays 5-8 including ballet. Mondays, Fridays and Sundays remain the same as last year;
  • A new ballet class for beginners will start on Saturdays at 10.30.

All recreational classes will start with the new timetable from 1st September, while intermediate and advanced classes will switch to the new times from 9th September.

In order to remain in the competitive group, skaters have to pass the athletics test by the end of September.

There is also a minimum number of classes per week that all competitive skaters need to attend. These vary for each category.

Fees for recreational skaters will be payable per term, while for intermediate and advanced skaters they can be paid monthly.

Please do not forget to include €25 for membership and insurance in your first month/term fees.

Any questions, don’t hesitate to ask, either by email or text (086 8077616). If you want to call me, please do so after 2pm, any day of the week.

Happy Skating!
